Summary: Kok is a free mobile application provided by an individual developer and is operated through ad revenue. User-entered data is stored only on the user's device, and the Service is not responsible for its content.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the developer CodeRabbit (the "Company") and users in connection with the use of the mobile application Kok (the "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
"Service" means the Kok application and any associated functionality provided by the Company.
"User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
"User Content" means snippet titles/bodies, category names, and similar items that the user registers in the Service.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
These Terms apply to all users who install and use the Service.
The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law and will announce changes at least 7 days before the effective date through the app or the service page. For changes unfavorable to users, at least 30 days' notice will be given.
Users who do not agree to the amended Terms may discontinue use and uninstall the app. Continued use after the notice period constitutes consent.
Article 4 (Service Content)
The Service provides the following features:
Saving, categorizing, searching, editing, and deleting frequently used phrases (snippets)
Copying registered snippets to the clipboard
Profile registration and token auto-fill (name, phone, email, company, business number, bank name, account number)
Dynamic token substitution for date, time, D-Day (replaced with actual values at copy time)
User input tokens ({ask:label}) — prompts the user for input before copying
Preset templates and importing them into the user's categories
Exporting and importing local backup files (linked to rewarded ad viewing)
Receiving text shared from other apps and saving as snippets
Article 5 (Service Fees and Advertisements)
The Service is generally provided free of charge.
To support free operation, banner and interstitial ads are displayed via external ad providers such as Google AdMob.
The backup export/import feature is available without limit for the day after watching one rewarded ad. If the ad fails to load or the user exits early, the backup feature will be restricted for that day.
Ad content is not authored or selected by the Company, and the Company is not liable for transactions, damages, or losses arising from advertisements.
Article 6 (Privacy)
The processing of personal information is governed by the separate Privacy Policy.
Article 7 (Data Storage and Management)
User Content is stored only on the user's device and is not transmitted to the Company's servers.
To improve app stability, Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage statistics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash logs) are used. These services are provided by Google LLC; details are available in the Privacy Policy.
Data may be lost due to app deletion, reset, or backup failure. Users should periodically use the backup feature. The Company is not liable for data loss.
Data compatibility may be limited due to device replacement, OS updates, etc.
Article 8 (User Obligations)
Users shall not engage in any of the following:
Reverse engineering, decompiling, copying, or redistributing the Service's source code
Interfering with normal operation of the Service or ad system (e.g., automated clicks, reward abuse)
Storing or generating content that infringes others' rights or violates laws
Acts that pose security threats such as malware, hacking, or cracking
If a user causes damages through such acts, the user is responsible, and the Company may restrict the user's use of the Service.
Article 9 (Intellectual Property)
Intellectual property rights to the Service and its design, icons, code, preset templates, translation resources, etc., belong to the Company.
Copyright in User Content belongs to the user, and the Company does not assert any rights over it.
Article 10 (Service Changes and Discontinuation)
The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for technical or operational reasons.
The Company has no obligation to compensate users for changes or discontinuation of the free Service.
Article 11 (Disclaimer)
The Company is not liable for service disruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, war, network failures, or device malfunctions.
The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or usefulness of user-registered snippets and is not liable for any related damages.
The Company makes no warranties and assumes no liability for transactions or services conducted through third-party advertisements.
The Company is not liable for data loss or device malfunctions arising from use of the free Service unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
These Terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
In the event of a dispute, both parties shall make good-faith efforts to resolve it amicably.
If no agreement is reached, jurisdiction follows the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
