Kok Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
Kok ("the Service") values user privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. This policy explains what information the Service collects, uses, retains, and deletes.
Summary: Kok stores user-created snippets and categories only on the user's device and does not transmit them to external servers. To support free operation, Google AdMob ads are displayed and may collect advertising identifiers.
1. Information Collected and Methods
a. Information collected by the Service itself
The Service does not require account registration and does not collect identifying information such as name, email, or phone number. The following data is stored only on the user's device and is not transmitted to external servers.
Snippet titles/bodies and category names entered by the user
Profile information (name, phone, email, company, business number, bank name, account number) — used only for token auto-fill ({name}, {phone}, etc.); never transmitted outside the device
Per-snippet usage frequency (copy count) and last used timestamp
User input history (last 3 entries per ask-token label, stored on device)
b. Automatically collected information (for external services)
To provide the Service free of charge, Google AdMob ads are displayed, and AdMob may collect and process the following. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Device/OS information, approximate location (country level), IP address
Ad impression and click events
To improve app stability, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are used and may collect the following.
Firebase Analytics: app launch events, device/OS information, country (anonymous statistics)
Firebase Crashlytics: crash stack traces, device information, app version

Service improvement: local usage statistics for sorting (e.g., by frequency)
3. Retention Period
User-entered data: until deleted by the user or until the app is uninstalled (stored on device)
Advertising identifiers: governed by Google's policies (Google Ads Policy)
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Service does not provide user-entered snippets or categories to any third party. Only the minimum information needed for ad delivery is processed by an entrusted partner as described below.

6. User Rights and How to Exercise Them
Users can view, edit, and delete snippets and categories within the app.
All user data stored on the device is removed when the app is uninstalled.
Ad personalization can be managed in device settings.
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
7. Data Destruction
When a user deletes data within the app or uninstalls the app, the data is immediately destroyed on the device. The Service does not operate any remote storage, so no information remains on a server.
8. Security Measures
User-entered data is stored in app-private storage and cannot be accessed directly by other applications.
The Service does not transmit user-entered data over the network.
Ad service providers (Google) apply industry-standard encryption and access controls.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we become aware that such data has been collected without legal guardian consent, we will delete it without delay.
10. Automatic Collection Devices and Opt-Out
The Service does not use cookies. However, the Google AdMob SDK may perform similar functions through advertising identifiers, which can be opted out via the device settings described above.
